I am a New York State Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist in the Rochester area. I received my massage education from the New York Institute of Massage and have received my BS in Biology from Syracuse University.
I practice massage because I have suffered many injuries, as an athlete of many years, and recognize the need for soft tissue work to return to a healthy state. Massage is often necessary to return to full recovery, reduce long-term effects of injury, improve performance, or improve the quality of life. I have been given the gift of massage and I want to share that gift with you.
I have a thirst for knowledge and continually further my massage education. I live a healthy lifestyle and integrate athletic activities and yoga into my life.
~Health is not housed within those four walls of the doctor's office, the therapist's office, the dietitian, or the gym. It is what you continue to do outside those four walls that affect your health and well-being.
When going to the spa isn't a fit for you...
Many people have anxiety, injuries, pain or rehabilitation needs that just aren't the right fit for the spa environment. I offer a safe space to treat you as an individual, not just the visitor passing through.
I offer Medical, Myofascial Release, Sports, and Integrated Massage techniques for the purpose of alleviating/reducing pain and the healing time of soft tissue injuries. I work on clients of all ages. I focus on integrating relaxation with treatment. I offer treatments focused on range of motion (ROM), nerve impingement, headaches, and chronic pain from latent injuries. I combine several modalities to give the best possible treatment. Modalities include but are not limited to, connective-tissue techniques, Post Isometric Relaxation, Segment Reflex Massage, and Trigger Point Therapy. I have experience with various injuries and pathologies including whiplash, bursitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, joint replacements, sprains/strains, TMD/TMJ, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and spinal fusions. I also have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, PTSD, and other traumas. (Thoroughly completing your Health Intake Form will help me to appropriately address your needs.)
